Soren's Sunday Session

40 Years in Music. A Lifetime of Stories. And a Lot More to Share.

Music has been my life for more than 40 years.
I've been fortunate enough to travel the world, play with incredible musicians, spend countless hours in recording studios, produce records, write songs and experience the music business from just about every angle.
And one thing I've learned is that you never stop learning.
Over the years, I've collected a lot of stories, experiences, mistakes, lessons and knowledge. Some of it came from working with amazing people. Some of it came from figuring things out the hard way.
At some point, I started thinking about how much of that knowledge I'd love to pass on.
That's where Soren's Sunday Session comes in.

How It All Started

During the COVID lockdowns, my good friend, photographer and filmmaker Paw Ager, and I decided to create something together.
With touring and live performances on hold, we suddenly had time to explore an idea we'd been talking about: creating a place where I could share my experiences from a lifetime in music.
Not just guitar lessons. Not just interviews. But real conversations about music, creativity, gear, recording, touring and everything that happens behind the scenes.

We ended up making 30 Sunday Sessions in a row.
And I absolutely loved it. I loved being able to sit down, pick up a guitar, share a story, explain something I'd learned or simply talk about the things that have fascinated me throughout my career.
But what I loved most was the connection with the people watching.
The questions, the comments, the curiosity and the feeling that we were building something together.

Why I Love Doing This

One of the things I love most about music is that there's always something new to discover.

It doesn't matter whether you've been playing guitar for six months or 40 years. There's always another sound to explore, another technique to learn, another musician who can inspire you or another story worth hearing.

I love talking about guitars and gear. I love getting into the details of recording and production. And I love hearing how other musicians approach their craft.

But I'm equally interested in everything around the music.

How do you build a career? How do you survive the difficult periods? How do you work with other musicians? What makes a great recording? And what are the lessons nobody teaches you when you're starting out?

These are the conversations I want to have.

Not because I have all the answers, but because I've spent a lifetime asking many of the same questions.

A New Chapter

In 2026, Paw and I decided it was time to bring Soren's Sunday Session back.

This time, with a bigger vision.

We wanted to create something that could reach musicians and music lovers around the world. A place where we could share knowledge, meet interesting people, explore new ideas and build a community around our shared love of music.

Paw brings his experience in filmmaking, photography and storytelling, while I bring my experiences from the music industry. Together, we're creating the kind of music show we've always wanted to make.

Something personal, curious, educational and, above all, enjoyable.

What I Hope to Achieve

My biggest ambition with Soren's Sunday Session is to create a place where knowledge and inspiration can be shared freely.

I want younger musicians to learn from the experiences of people who've spent their lives working in music.

I want experienced musicians to discover something new. And I want people who simply love music to get a closer look at the creativity, personalities and stories behind it.

Every Sunday, we release a full Soren's Sunday Session, exploring music, people, experiences and ideas in depth.

And every Wednesday, we share a Wednesday Session — a shorter format focused on one particular topic. One topic. Straight to the point.

We're also inviting musicians, producers, songwriters and other creative people to join the conversation and share their own experiences.
Because the more we share, the more we all learn.

Come Join Us

After more than 40 years in the music business, I'm still just as excited about music as I was when I first picked up a guitar.

And being able to share that excitement with Paw, our guests and everyone watching makes this project something very special to me.

We're only getting started, and I can't wait to see where it takes us. I hope you'll come along for the ride.

See you at the next session.
